Scottish Governing Body for Cheer and Performance Cheer
About Us
SportCheer Scotland (SC619926) is a not for profit organisation, limited by guarantee. We are the recognised governing body for cheerleading in Scotland by the International Cheer Union (ICU), European Cheer Union and affiliated to SportCheer UK. SportCheer Scotland is managed by a board of directors and governed by our Articles of Association as voted for by our members.

The main objective of SportCheer Scotland is to work to promote cheerleading as a sport in Scotland and to support Scottish programmes and coaches though coach education and athlete development pathways. The organisation provides exclusive access to events, resources and training to enrich the experience of athletes at all levels from recreational to elite.

We have an administrative Board that is hands on in managing the organisation with the support of committees, staff and volunteers. Our volunteer run organisation dedicated to the continuous growth of our sport, actively pursuing greater opportunities for participation. As an inclusive governing body, we strive to increase engagement regardless of gender, age, background, race or ability.

We are building a membership base to ensure that clubs and the coaches volunteering or employed by the clubs are qualified and providing a safe learning environment. We believe that membership of SportCheer Scotland will give parents, guardians and employers peace of mind when choosing a club/coach with the correct credentials. We actively promote safety and safety education within our sport.
