Your National Team

SportCheer Scotland strives to provide opportunities for the Scottish cheerleading community to be involved in our National Team. This means we are constantly evolving to make sure everyone has the opportunity to be involved and we can best represent our country on the world stage. For our 2023-24 national team,  selection will take place over multiple stages.

ATHLETES

We are looking for any athletes interested in Team Scotland 2023/2024 to register for next year's national team. If you are interested in representing Scotland it is important each individual athlete registers below.  Please note, unified teams will only be formed if there enough competent athletes to make a safe and viable team. 

ALLSTAR TEAMS

Head Coaches/Programme Owners can apply below for a bid to take there Allstar Team to ICU Championships across the world. Please note all applicants should be SportCheer Scotland members.

COACHES

We are looking for applicants keen to coach a unified national team to go to the ICU World and/or European Cheerleading Championships. Please note you must have a minimum of 3 years coaching a competitive team in the style you are applying for and be able to provide video proof of previous work.

MANAGEMENT & SUPPORT

Suitable for those keen on helping out, managing the national team, training, kit, questions and more.  As well as general support we are looking for a National Team Manager, Assistant Manger and Fundraising Manager.

Age groups for international teams are different from allstar therefore please make sure you book for the correct age group.

Athletes born 2009 - 2012 - Youth

Athletes born 2005 - 2009 - Junior

Athletes born 2008 or before - Senior

​

Athletes with a disability and/or impairment that wish to tryout for our Adaptive/Special Abilities teams must be born 2012 or before. 

​

Please note that teams will only be formed if we have enough eligible athletes to meet minimum performance numbers as set out by the ICU and have enough experienced athletes to compete safely.
